Steve Wettenhall at Barron Falls
Mr Wettenhall said he entered the spectacular Barron Gorge National Park in the competition which invites Australians to share their favourite Australian holiday spot with the world. "Barron Gorge is one of Queensland's oldest National Parks, located in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, and is just spectacular," he said. "It's accessible by foot on the historic trails, by scenic railway, the Skyrail cablecar, coach or by private vehicle making it a very popular tourist destination. "I believe there is really nothing quite like it and Far North Queenslanders are so lucky to have this in their very own backyard." Mr Wettenhall said he encourages all Far North Queensland residents to enter their favourite holiday spot of the Tropical North with a photo and 25 word description. "Barron Gorge is just one of countless amazing places in the Tropical North that people could enter. "The opportunities are endless, and who knows you might even win yourself a holiday out of it." Australians have until the 12 May to enter and upload their photo and words to www.nothinglikeaustralia.com. The entries will be used to create a new interactive map of Australia made up of all the things Australians think are special about their country. Steve's entry: There's nothing like...
