Ergon Energy Customers give $4million to RFDS
Royal_Flying_Doctors_-_Ergon_Donation_006 An impressive milestone in community spirit was announced today with Ergon Energy customers having donated $4 million to the Royal Flying Doctor Service through their power bills.

Far North Queenslanders committed nearly $14,000 to the RFDS in December alone and some $640,000 since Ergon Energy's donation scheme started in the year 2000.

 The support comes via regular donations through customer's electricity bills. They can donate $2 or $5 per quarterly bill, or make larger one-off donations if they wish.

Remaining Captain Cook Highway roundabouts to be upgraded
Barron River MP Steve Wettenhall has welcomed the Bligh Government's commitment to upgrade another six roundabouts on the Captain Cook Highway to improve safety for motorists and cyclists.
