New Appliance A Boost For Kuranda Fire Station |
|
Kuranda Auxiliary Fire Station received a major boost on Sunday with the official handover of a new emergency response vehicle valued at $340,000.
Member for Barron River, Steve Wettenhall officially commissioned the new "Urban Pumper Tanker" Type 2 appliance and said it would further enhance the station's capacity to serve Kuranda and surrounding communities.

In response, Barron River MP Steve Wettenhall has called for a regional road safety summit to analyse the causes of the crashes in the region and to renew the search for answers to the region's spiraling road toll.
